Burberry Eye Colour 'Wet & Dry Silk' and 'Wet & Dry Glow' Eyeshadow Review: Nude, Midnight Brown, Pale Barley, Rosewood

L-R: Pale Barley, Midnight Brown, Nude, Rosewood
I'm going to be completely honest. I was never at all interested in any of Burberry's makeup before it launched at Sephora. I had read reviews here and there about numerous products but never took the plunge to try anything for myself. The interest simply wasn't there. I can't really give you a reason why, but I found myself not at all captivated by anything. I might have been too obsessed with Tom Ford to notice anything else (understandably), but it wasn't until I saw the beauty community freak out over it being sold at Sephora that I became infatuated with everything Burberry.

My first picks were the eyeshadows. I chose Nude, Midnight Brown, Pale Barley, and Rosewood. Nude is the only color that is part of the Wet & Dry Glow Shadows, the rest are part of the Wet & Dry Silk Shadows. Nude is a medium metallic silvery-ish gold, Midnight Brown is a medium-to-dark iridescent brown plum, Pale Barley is a medium warm golden taupe, and Rosewood is a light taupe with a purple undertone.

The consistency of all the eyeshadows are quite on par with each other. They come off sheer but the colors can be built up with extra layering and especially using them wet. The longevity of the shadows are adequate, most of them (except for Pale Barley) lasted a good workday without creasing or losing their pigment significantly (for context I have oily eyelids and hooded eyes). Out of all of them, Midnight Brown and Nude lasted the longest on me. I really love how creamy and blendable they are, they honestly are some of the softest eyeshadows I've ever used. Compared to the Burberry quads, I've found these shadows to be much better in quality.

Wet & Dry Silk Shadows hold 2.7g/0.09oz and Wet & Dry Glow Shadows hold 1.8g/0.06oz. They are both sold at the retail price of $29.00. It's actually a good price in relation to Burberry as a brand and also the amount of product. For some perspective, NARS' Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows only hold 0.05oz and are sold at the same price. You can buy any of these shadows in the USA at Nordstrom, Sephora, Burberry's Official Webstore, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Net-a-Porter.

Have you bought any of Burberry's Wet & Dry Silk Shadows or Wet & Dry Glow Shadows?
I'd love to hear your opinion on what you think of them or if you'd like to buy any!
